About Mia Mor
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) · Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) · Board-Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist · Certified Professional Coach
I help people better understand themselves so they can create meaningful, lasting change.
For over 30 years, I’ve helped people navigate anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, career transitions, loss, and the moments in life when you know something needs to change but aren’t sure where to begin.
Over the years, I’ve found that lasting change begins by understanding the patterns that shape the way we think, feel, and relate to ourselves and others. I believe our thoughts, the stories we tell ourselves, and the language we use shape how we experience our lives. Together, we’ll identify the patterns that may be keeping you stuck and help you develop healthier, more empowering ways of thinking, communicating, and responding.
My style is interactive, compassionate, and direct. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, offer honest observations, and help you recognize patterns you may not see on your own. As we work together, we’ll pay attention not only to your thoughts and behaviors, but also to the ways you talk to yourself and make sense of your experiences. Often, even small shifts in perspective can open the door to meaningful change. My goal is to help you develop greater self-awareness, practical tools, and the confidence to move forward with clarity and purpose.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked extensively with professionals navigating demanding careers while striving to create more balance, fulfillment, and connection in their personal lives. I’ve supported clients across a wide range of industries, including finance, law, healthcare, advertising, fashion, entertainment, and education. I’ve also consulted with organizations and human resource professionals on workplace conflict, leadership challenges, employee conduct, stress management, and issues affecting motivation, productivity, and overall well-being.
I earned my Master of Social Work from New York University in 1993 and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I am also a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) and have served as a referral resource for organizations including Goldman Sachs, Scholastic, IBM, and New York University.
In addition to my clinical training, I’ve pursued advanced education in integrative and mind-body approaches that complement traditional psychotherapy. I am a Certified Professional Coach through the iPEC Coach Training Program, accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), a Board-Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (NBCCH), and have completed training in Regression Therapy through the Weiss Institute under the guidance of Dr. Brian L. Weiss. I am also a Certified ThetaHealing® Practitioner and Instructor.
Every client brings a unique story, and I tailor my approach to meet you where you are and support your individual goals.
My goal isn’t simply to help you solve today’s problems. It’s to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself so you can navigate whatever life brings with greater confidence, clarity, and resilience.
